Steve Terry has a varied IT career in a variety of industries. He has built and sustained global networks, call centers, datacenters, and application development organizations for several Fortune 500 Companies. He has held CIO, COO and Director level positions in the manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, insurance and IT Service industries. Through all this Steve has gained a healthy regard for the importance of trust and effective communication at all levels within an enterprise.

Steve has over 30 years of IT Leadership experience and has overseen the successes and failures of many major projects worth millions of dollars. It was not unusual for Steve to serve as the business unit leader with budget responsibilities and also have direct budgeting responsibility for the IT delivery unit at the same time. While Steve likes being his own best customer, his experiences in these concurrent roles provided him with a unique opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge in the “what works, what doesn’t” space.

Steve recently retired from Beneficial Life where he was SVP, CIO and COO. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for AIM Utah (a professional IT leadership network) and as an outside director on a number of other Utah-based companies. He recently served on a Commission to Optimize State Government for the State of Utah and continues to serve on the IT advisory councils for two higher-education institutions.
