Venkat Subramaniam
Venkat Subramaniam is known for his contagious enthusiasm and passion for software development. Venkat has trained and mentored thousands of software developers around the world since 1996. He's well recognized internationally and is a regular invited speaker at several international conferences. He's done extensive training, consulting, and mentoring in US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Venkat has significant experience with architecture, design, and development of software systems. He helps his clients effectively apply and succeed with agile practices on their software projects.

Venkat is the author of the quite a few books including ".NET Gotchas" (O'Reilly), co-author of the 2007 Jolt Productivity award winning "Practices of an Agile Developer," author of "Programming Groovy," "Programming Scala," and his most recent book "Programming Concurrency on the JVM: Mastering Synchronization, STM, and Actors" all from the Pragmatic Bookshelf.

Venkat holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Masters in Electrical Engineering, and a Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering. Venkat is the founder of Agile Developer, Inc. and is also an adjunct faculty at the University of Houston. Venkat can be reached at venkats@agiledeveloper.com.
